Research on Regional Architectural Design Method Based on GIS

Urbanization and continued population growth have had a major impact on the urban environment. Many buildings lack close regional biomimetic characteristics during rapid generation process, making it impossible to achieve ecological sustainability. This article took rehabilitation center of Jinghong Dai Cultural Park in Yunnan as an example for research, intending highlight change current severely homogenized style. Visual on-site environmental analysis was performed through Arc GIS, CFD-phoenics, sketchup, site form planning from perspective “regional characteristics” explored. Morphological data local plants were collected, plant patterns analyzed Grasshopper software, skins generated “biomimetic properties”, we combined with skin overall architectural design. The design approach multi-parameter software combinations brings richer expression morphologically distinguishes more homogeneous stereotypical image city, which is great significance value expanding spatial layout phenology native respect original natural environment create symbiosis between man nature.
